Purple Elephant in the Room was formed in 2013 to better support families who were falling through the cracks of standard intervention services. We provide independent family support services and social work assessments for local authorities, courts of law, solicitors and private clients.
Our aim is, wherever possible, to keep families together by providing an alternative, tailored approach to intervention and assessment.
Our team of experts have a wealth of experience of supporting families with the aim of helping parents improve their parenting capacity whilst ensuring that the child’s best interests remain paramount.

Our residential assessment home
Our residential assessment homes aim to provide individualised support to each family using a therapeutic approach to meet any unaddressed needs. We aim to enable families who would not usually be suitable for larger-scale residential placements to benefit from this in-depth and rounded offer of support.
