Since 2013, Purple Elephant in the Room has provided independent social work assessments to local authorities, solicitors and Courts. We have a team of qualified independent social workers and consultant psychologists who have extensive experience working with children, families and vulnerable adults.

All of our social workers are trained to use frameworks such as ParentAssess and CUBAS when assessing adults who have additional needs. Many of our social workers are also trained to carry out specialist sexual risk assessments and capacity & ability to protect assessments.

Assessments can take place alongside our family support service and therapeutic services or be a standalone service.

We have provided assessments to a number of local authorities including Birmingham Council, Bristol City Council, Croydon Council, Devon County Council, Gloucestershire County Council, North Somerset Council, Somerset Council, Warwickshire County, West Sussex County Council, Plymouth City Council and Torbay Council.
